I'll provide a quotation specifying the complete costs before commencing any project.

As web projects are very much individual, custom costings can be provided to ensure a web project will meet with your requirements. Please see the web services page for details on all the below.

Website development
All sites minimum set-up charge: £135 (including 1st page)
Per page cost thereafter: £45 per page*
Smaller pages, eg pop-ups called from main pages: £19 per page
Examples: 4 page website: £270; 10 page website: £540

Sites of over 10 pages: Free Site Map and custom error page included!

Prices include one simple prepared image created from existing media (such as your business logo), up to two optimised images per page, setting up site navigation, site proofing, uploading to web space, testing and two months' support including minor updates (eg text or image changes). More major updates, such as page layout changes, charged at hourly rate.

Image optimisation
Preparing your own digital images for the web including enhancing, colour correction, cropping, sizing, sharpening, etc: £3 per image.

Image scanning and optimisation
Turning your photos, slides or transparencies into digital images and optimising them for the web: £4 per image.

Low cost web photography
Taking pictures and preparing them for your site: £42 per hour.

Low cost custom imaging
Preparing images for your website, such as banner, logo, buttons, background images, favicon icon, simple animations: £42 per hour, minimum one hour or one-off image, eg favicon for: £10

Low cost website management
Looking after your website after publication charged at £42 per hour or annually at £455 based on 1 hour per month. The website management page has more details.

Low cost hosting and domain registration
Arranged on your behalf with a leading provider at cost plus an £18 arrangement fee. Typical hosting costs are from £17 - £117+ per year depending on features required (includes domain name registration for two years). See web hosting and domain registration.

This can sometimes be lengthy: £42 per hour.

PDF document creation for downloading:
Document as supplied, up to three pages: £12 (each additional page £2)
More complex, eg page layout and construction: At small web page rate per page.
Pricing includes adding the document link to the site.

RSS feeds and blogging
Setting up an RSS feed or weblog on your website, one RSS channel of up to 10 items (user expandable) with details and links to web pages (includes a 'What is RSS?' page): From £240

Page visitor counter set-up: £12
Simple site stats set-up: £35 (included with SEO).

This website* is a medium sized 16 page site with an enquiry form, download PDFs, and custom images which would cost up as follows:

Remember, there's no VAT to add to this (excepting hosting cost), saving £167 for non VAT clients.

*Search engine optimisation Plan 1 and 2 combined is also provided on this site which would add £585 to the above costing, totalling £1636.

Notes
¹ One of the download PDFs is 12 pages and so costs £30.
² These images are: 3 x navigation menu symbols, return to top button, favicon icon.
³ The download provision requires a higher level web hosting, without the downloads the cost would be even lower at £872 (£1457 with SEO).
